NickI reckon that price mentioned by Fred (Wheelmania £85) is damn good, but I really cant be bothered driving from London to Brumland for a saving of £50, probably cost me more on petrol anyway!! For those not too far away, this is a good price.

I think you need to be a bit more specific than that m8! Alloys all seem to be considerably different weights......I imagine most tyres will weigh roughly the same though, unless you fill them with sand instead of air! I think a 14" alloy and wheel combo would come in somewhere in the 17-22kg...

Thanks for all that......I ended up speaking to a guy at work (he drives a SERIOUSLY modded Scooby that scares the pants off me, but thats another story!). He ended up persuading me that the step up from 16s to 17s is very slight and I wont really notice much of a drop in speed or ride quality...

Sniff..........I got busted dropping it to 2nd and flooring it to get past a tour bus that had held me up for a-g-e-s. Empty road, nobody around and I got "lasered" doing 57 in a 30. Let me off with 3 pts & £60 cause I had a clean record, just put a years tax on the car the day before and had a...

I just called Elite to see if they would have some 17s in to look at when I go there. They told me that 17s might look better, but 16s have a better ride quality (and are cheaper!!!) - so I guess its going to be the 16 then!! Cheers for the input telford_mike!

Matt, I managed to do the same thing once.......go to switch beams and turn off the lights completely!! Not the desired result on a dark country road.....only happened once as I am more careful now!

Before you put your key in the ignition next time, try turning your lights on and off quickly twice. I think this is the way to deactivate it if you have auto lights. If it is, then you will hear a bleep.
