I've just snapped a front spring, so phoned my local dealer and was quoted £204 inc VAT for a pair. That can't be right or is it? I was going to ask for a fitted price while I was on, glad I didn't don't think my heart would've took any more shocks today
I used this guy when mine knacked.

It's easy enough to do yourself, scuttle off, clips off plug, then a couple of screws iirc
I had my bonnet done recently at C & C Coachworks in Chester-le-Street. I would really like to say they did an excellent job, which they did, but only after I took it back. For dents and dings nobody I could recommend, sorry.
I was there all day but they were a man down so had to deal with people coming 'in off the street'
The ride down is about 2.5-3 hrs. I went Barnard Castle, M6 way (far better roads)

That's what they have just virtually said to me
Not interested at all in getting anywhere near £300. So been 'quoted happy' and paid £250, much more like it for an old man:D
ETA no extra if i get a nice new exhaust as well
Just been getting quotes, looking around £300.I went back to them last year on the Griff. This year I'm possibly going to cut my nose off to spite my face but they can just f**k right off:D
Just got my renewal through. 55plate 182, no mods FPNCB £455. Might sound ok to some, but 43yr old, never had a claim, 5000pa.
Just came from a highly modded TVR Griffith 500, valued at nearly 4X the Clio and only paid £400 WTF?
Just been quoted £824 for both belts and tensioners from one main dealer and £750 for belts, tensioners and water pump at another???
£520 for the lot at this place http://www.centrevillegarage.co.uk/index.html but can't get any feedback on them so in a bit of a dilemma :S
Can anyone tell me, or point me in the right direction, what are the torque settings used on the bolt/nut on the rear dampers. Also is the job as easy as it looks?
