In a word, yes. I know i would regret it. what other car can you get that costs so little and offers so much fun. Plus if you really want to you can get 40+ mpg's out of it! appart from maybe insurance costs where are the down sides?

I am just about to take some pro's off my phase 1 172 to be replaced by some bilstein coilovers. They felt pretty good, not too crashy. If you fancy them let me know.

Thanks for the correction! I have recently been able to get a bit more cash together so have bought some Bilstein B14's from Kam racing. Am going to fit them myself!?! Any tips? KF's seem to have a lot of good feedback maybe I should have stuck to my original plan. Thanks for all feedback.

Hello. Does anyone have these fitted to their phase 1 172? If so what do you reckon of them for a fast road/very occasional coilover setup? They seem to be right around my budget of £500.
