hum, just do a quick search for "throttle potentiometer", you'll see people with similar issues. its all pretty much guess work till you get it diagnosed. if you are member of AA or RAC etc, be worth a call out - thats what I did instead of paying £60 or whatever Renault wanted :) Good luck...

Update from me, had my rear dampers off today - both seem to compress with a fair bit of resistence and pop back out.. so i'm pretty sure they are ok. Going to get the fronts looked at over the weekend hopefully following Rico's advice...
