Might sound stupid, but could be worth a look.
Open the bonnet and have someone watch when you turn on the washers.
On mine a connector half way along the fluid line was loose, so whenever they were used half the washer fluid sprayed all over the engine bay.
Mine weren't polyflex, and I only did the outers but gives a bit of info

Have a look at the samsung t240/t260 hd models. (1920x1080) resolution with built in freeview tuner, 24"/26" respectively.
Had my t260hd for about 2 years, excellent model for both pc use and tv.

Mine made a weird noise when getting into high rev's after having it changed.
Turned out the pulley it sits on has grooves around it with different positions/widths of belt depending if the car has air con or not.
My belt had been put in the wrong position.
Might be completely off but worth a...
Theres a program called Freewire which lets you use your computer as a TV, streams the tv via the web.

After a little advice.
Im trying to replace my passenger side ball joint. I had the option of 12mm or 10mm holes in the replacement and went for 10mm (thought 12 were for sports, mines a 1.4).
However the bolts on my car atm are much larger, an 18mm spanner fits :S
