I agree it doesn’t exactly look special, but the 200 was the same as a normal clip inside. it’s a very capable car. No manual isn’t really that big a deal. The gearbox is much better than the ‘experts’ said. A very good car which is fun to drive and handles well.

Skip the 197/200 and get a mk4 200t.

Those pictures really show off the colour. Suits it so well!! (I know it’s a Clio (v6) colour, but still!) I wonder why they didn’t offer it alongside liquid yellow and petrol blue.

This is beautiful! Do you have any better/more pictures to drool over? The colour suits it really well! Good progress on the rust repairs too. Strange how these are so bad, I was sure they were galvanised from the factory!

Brilliant project! I like the colour of the subframe and axle and the other bits. At first I thought why not black, but seeing it finished it looks really good!

Reminds me of the Ashley exhaust I put on my nova sr back in the day. I could park it outside running (when you could without them being stolen) and hear it inside at the back of the house!

Brilliant pics! Who’s and what colour is the 182 towards the end of the pictures? Looks like acid yellow or something. Never seen it before!

I’d get it repaired, and if a garage won’t do it (because selling a new one is easier and better for them) I’d repair it myself with one of those repair kits. They are fairly easy and work.

I second the phase1 airbox idea. I had a carbon itg on a 172 and sold it to replace it with a phase1 airbox, in my opinion it sounded almost as good.

You could probably fit the whole rear bumper off a 197 to yours? Including the diffuser

You might get away with one of those to be honest, they just stick over the top of the existing aerial mount. Mine was a lux pack so had a larger aerial base hence having to buy a genuine shark to replace the whole thing as non of the stick on shark fins would fit over it.

Sounds like a nightmare with the wishbones. Mine had an advisory on the mot for rust on the sump when I bought it, so I managed to get the garage to replace it for a brand new one, so a great job using the rust inhibitor.

Mine seized on mine, as you say they get stuck solid and snap. Relatively easy and quite cheap to replace though so not the end of the world.
