For anyone else with same problem. Renault charged £28 for a new oil pressure sensor and brass washer. The item is an easy fit if you have a deep reach 22mm socket as then nothing around the sensor needs removed.
Halfords do one for a measly £6.49 in 1/2 inch drive.
cheers for that Fred
Its getting at it in a 60mph wind with the bonnet flapping about thats an issue now! Wheres my 19mm deep reach socket when you need it.
On a Clio 172 Cup
Can anyone please confirm if the oil pressure switch sensor is located immediately to the left of the oil filter on the front of the engine?
Im stuck at work in severe weather with STOP and red oil can lights so any help appreciated!
cheers for that. Im running through some others via camskill, but that is a good name at a good price!
Is there any reason NOT to move up to 205 width?

Have to say I did think it would be a bit faster accelerating.
It does feel good in the twisties, turn in and grip are good and steering responsive is ok, just wish it had a bit more urge about it coming out the corners. Didnt help getting ripped by a Golf Gti either!
By default I'm a...
Im really new to RenaultSport so sorry if this seems a bit "noob".
Quite simply whats the best mods for 2-3K max on a 172 cup?
Car must drive "nice" as I commute 300 miles a week. Every day I cover Motorway and A and B roads in Scotland, so a competent all rounder is needed.
At the...
Talk about gambling I bought it!
I took it to RJM in Glenrothes for a full service, belts, fiters, oil etc and new pads and disks all round. cost around £800.
But now I know the work has been genuinely done and the car feels like new, all switches, handles and interior are A1, steering wheel...
