I went in to a dealership today to buy an aux belt kit. I just burst into a loud laugh when I heard how much they wanted for the kit - £370!! HAHA! Now that's funny... /Carl

New audio-link with a little better quality. Would it be safe to remove the aux belt and see if it makes this noise without the belt? On any other car I would without asking but when the aux-belt can take out the cam-belt I am not taking any chances...

it kind of sounds like that but without the belt slipping. I have found a better recording software for my phone.. I will have another go tomorrow ;) /C

I have a really annoying rattle coming from my gear stick. I have tracked down this rattle to where the shift linkage attaches to the gearbox. I have attached a picture to try to explain... :o It is a metalic rattle. I think it comes from the linkage vibrates up/down (red arrow). My gut feeling...
