i've been asked to change the pads on my gran's car. 55 plate clio 1.2 16v extreme.
question is which pads to go for: bendix or lucas. i have searched, but still unsure. reg is sp55uxo
at the moment i cant look at the caliper, so would appreciate advise if anybody has some; so i could...
unfortunately i will have to put my Clio up for sale. lack of use and big tax bill are forcing me to part with the little monster.
only used the car twice on Knockhill.

was there just last monday. was ok. about the same amount of cars as on the renault-day. but a lot of very fast motors and very impatient drivers. so you get quite focussed to your rear view mirror.
was ok. tonight there's a dreadknought night on. from what i hear, they are a good bunch!

i agree. i have no problem with the original setup. just the throttle response seems to slow sometimes to give enough revs.
anybody any ideas? ( btw i know this is an old thread)

saw there's one on sunday. dependant on work i might be there.

hope you'll get it runnin again soon!
yeah. next one on june 9th. gonna try and do a few. mainly via trackscotland
deffo ecommend the cage. fairly easy fit, although you need to weld in the plates, which i cant do myself, but if you kknow somebody... the rest is fairly straight fwd. good service from k-tec and a little discount from...
yeah i actually saw that; was quite close behind him. was the guy with the pressed plates. he had tape over his front plate.
cage is a 6 point bolt-in from oreca, bought from K-tec. nice one and fits well. was a bit bend in transit, but fits well! very similar to the omp one but cheaper!
mind...
if you mean a spin, yes twice. just on track tho, didnt go off.
powerflow box and a decat of some sort. not really sure about the ins and outs, cause they came with the car. although the decat wasnt fitted yet. on tickover it sounds as if the exhaust has a hole in it, but once driving it does...
another update:
in anticipation for tomorrow's renault trackday at Knockhill, i had to get the car ready to be driven (with both seats cause i will also have tuition) so had to get my finger out!!
inside painted, put seats in, changed steering wheel, put harnesses in.

called aswell to see if i could join later on the day and just booked there and then.
i think i would try the megane. depends if you let me have a shot of your clio haha.
rgds robert

just had another look and think i found it. it was hanging down off just under the ignition 'box' or what the name for that is. (pardon my technical terms, english is not my first language...)
stuck it back on and it is a perfect fit so i would presume that's the one!?
hi
just noticed this pipe but there's no hose attached as in the circled bit in the picture (which is a google one)
what does this do and does it need the hose attached? i can't seem to find an undone hose anywhere in the bay....
thanks for the help in advance,
rgds robert
actually pretty good fit, however, the guy who fitted thought it just got bended in transport so was a little effort to get fitted. but sits nicely now! good price aswell compared to some other brands!
