im gona need 4 new tyres all round soon, and was thinking of getting 185/60/14 as opposed to the 175/60/14 that are on there at present, will they scrub on the bodywork as the cars been lowered bout 55mm all round, i did have 195/50/15s and they did catch, but will the 185s miss out as they are...

thinking of tinting my windows, dont know whether to do a light smoke on the rear windows, or go for a dark at the rear and light on the front windows? whats the best type, as i want it to remain legal, could i put dark on the rear sides and light on the back window or would that be to gay!!

its not too difficult to change, just so long as youve gota haynes manual or something. took me and the old man bout an hour for the lot, but we werent exactly rushing around, as for tools ul need a star screwdriver bit, which seems to hold most of the bits of the clio together!!

what do the treadwear numbers mean on the side of a tyre?? most are around 200 but ive seen some say 280,320. does this mean they are a harder/ softer compound?? is a higher number a harder compound, and if so roughly how much more life should it have in it compared to a softer tyre?

gona be changing my front tyres soon (currently 50 profile) and wana know what everyone else is running and recommends., im looking to spend around £50ish fitted per tyre, and quite like the falken jobbies as i had them on my 5 and they had loads of grip.

right just finished sorting out the drivers side arch, it had dropped a bit and bulged out towards the tyre so after a quick pull and some banging its been straightened out, so il see if that makes much difference!!! i might get my mate to check the tracking cos im sure that its out, not by much...

well i cant put them in the 4" speaker location as ive gota set of pioneer 3-ways in there so looks like im gon try the air vent option or stick them behind the drivers and passengers head. ive got a 16V dash and as i didnt bother getting the dials im wondering if i should fit them in that gap...

i had the same problem mate. i brought a alloy refurbishment kit from halfords and that has certainly given the alloys a new lease of life, ive got pics of before and after if you wana have a look.

i used brut force and ignorance, as well as a pair of mole grips, with some cloth around the knob to prevent slipping, they are held on quite well so the more leverage the better
