Haha cheers dude. I'll always be a forum nerd.
Nice one dude, quite a few nice cars round this way!
Aye, good video that. Haha.
Yeah it felt great, although I think the time out of the car made it seem to perform better than it did. Once I got back and compared my laps against previous...
That was my second time in the Bongard club haha, I lost my virginity a few months before the crash when a wire shorted out, blowing a fuse, immobilising the car. 366 euros for a fuse! Fuuuuu
Yeah that video... haha. I can't really watch it back now, it's so poorly edited and recorded. Luckily...
Haha thanks man, I was there at the weekend actually... teg broke down on the way home though! :(
Haha yeah I remember! I get the same story on Pistonheads as well.
Damn, I was in the Zafira following it!
Now then!!
So by chance, myself, @f0xy & @JoeyD were all at Cadwell Park on Thursday. I was in the DC2 on a shakedown after fitting some new parts, and Joey asked to come out for a lap as he hadn't been in an Integra before...
Cue us bumping into Jord's E36 on track and having an epic little...
Sorry guys forgot to check the replies in here! Glad to here you mostly all enjoy the videos though.
I started a "How to get in to trackdays" video last night, similar format, of course one of my suggestions was an RS Clio. :) Should be up over the weekend!
DC2 is almost ready for its...
Morning CS!
I was just thinking, I could really use some feedback on a video I made the other day, and everyone is being far too nice on YT. What forum do I know of where a bunch of criticising b******s live? Oh yeah, ClioSport! :P
So, if you're not in to drifting but have a spare 10 minutes...
I'd love a K20 Elise... There was one at Croft on Sunday in the Javelin Sprint Series. It got off the line ridiculously well and was winning its class when I left.
Lol thanks for the replies guys. Car is back home now as above. Got away lucky with the crash I think, the suspension turrets etc are all straight, just the front of the chassis leg is mangled and bent. Considering having a detachable tubular front end from the turrets forward. Should save a bit...
Just as great as you'd imagine buddy. It felt like a DC5 to me, all be it a bit more stable.
The owner had a DC5 for 7 years before getting the FD2. He says it is definitely an improvement!
I got out of the FD2 a bit flabbergasted, I was unsure of what had just happened. This family car that...
Glad you like the videos chaps! Still got the DC2, almost 4 years I've had it now.
I did used to have the Ph1 with the 182 rear end yup, Oddysey Blue y0..
I was at Cadwell Park just last night in the DC2 and the car was flying, really happy with the setup now. Beat my previous PB by 2...
I've seen them for up to £1000 in perfect condition. Usually around £600 when/if they come up online.
Thanks!
There's a smidge on the rear quater as expected, really light bubble. Nothing to worry about TBH. 100x better than most!
Yeah, that needs sorting.
Haha another local lad... not...
I do love throwing stars too, bloody expensive for a proper set though!
The interior was quite cheap at £380 for everything, all seats, door cards, etc. It isn't perfect but anything under £500 is never going to be. For seats that are at least 20 years old however, they're decent!
Update time!
Got most of the Alcantara Vader interior in yesterday, and I've had my wheels powdercoated to factory silver and fitted new BMW badges all round. Just copy badges I might add, curiosity got the better of me!
I've also added an extra spring pad to try and raise the rear up and...
Don't you f**king dare use the "prius tyres" phrase. I will come down to Oxford and beat you with ham fists.
215/45 is what came on the later model DC2s from the factory and they cope with it just fine. f**k, the earlier ones came with 195/55!
... but that would dilute the greatness of the package. I guess Toyota wanted to make a fun NA car while they still could. Good on them!
I don't think many would argue against NA being the way when it comes to feeling truly connected to a motor. Unless they drive Mk4 Golf GTi's at a guess.
The thing with the GT86 was it's all about driver pleasure, it was never meant to compete with modern day hot hatches - gotta remember that. It's just Toyota having fun.
I know right, it's a shame you can't lease them! :kissingheart:
People who rave about the GT86 also rave about the MX5. Go figure :nomouth:
I joke, I'd have one of course. I guess they drive a bit like a E36 328i if not a bit quicker. You'll have to let me have a go in it J88SSN:innocent:
Yo CS!
A bit of back story for those who don't recall; I used to own a Techno Violet 328i Sport a few years ago, a car that I searched high and low for for a very long time, but unfortunately only a year into ownership had to sell when I lost my job to redundancy.

Thanks chaps!
I remember when I first went to the 'ring and was way happy with this lap. I felt like I'd done really well. Haha
Quite hard to watch now, I'd take it off YouTube if it wasn't for AdSense!
I'll be getting those next for sure.
BTW if anyones interested I've uploaded another lap, not as fast, but more action. It involves an excellent bit of cat and mouse with me and a Subaru Turbo.
