It just displays whatever is playing in a little white box up the top of the screen, after 5 minutes it disappears until u touch the controls. And....I love the fact it tells me where the traffic is in the mornings! Not such a stupid toy when it saves 45 minutes of my nightmare journey to work! ;-)
Cup spoiler £50 off ebay! Sat nav, new dash....Hundreds of pounds?! Makes no sense financially or time wise! 5 Mins to change a spoiler. auto leccy to install nav hours!
mines good! have a disc with mine in the boot but have never tried it! It gets me where I need to go and tells me which roads not to take due to traffic in the morning. Ive had a Tom Tom (that took me round in circles) and its better for getting from A to B than that was!
in the door pocket......thats where mine goes! Sat nav is actually really good I must say, it even does all the new builds coz it searches by road name not postcode!
Mine has factory sat nav, someone from redline mailed me the other day and said he had never come across it! Prob only 10 out of that 42 left, others probably been written off!!
After nearly selling the car..we decided to keep it! Now want new pads, dics all round and new shocks and springs too...People suggestions would be good asap as being done on Weds...cheers:rasp:
There is a push fit plug just behind the rear door card, £12 replacement from renault. Its a simple fix :-)
And yes it cost a small fortune but well worth it.....we now ave shares in Renault!!!! lol
def dephaser, mine sounded the same, just had belts and dephaser done, now its purring as it should do and no longer sounds like a tank!!! Get it done its worth it in the end!
My clio is now fixed! Happy days!
Cam belt + Dephaser (no longer sounds like a taxi!), replaced xenon washer, replaced coil spring, new door sensor (stupid carwash man broke it last week!), Replaced power steering sensor switch (decided to spring a leak on sunday apparently another one of...
does anyone know why the service and airbag lights would intermittently go on and off (prob really really dumb ass question/ simple answer) but I am a bird lol!
Wish i had of...at least the there would be a decent excuse!! Unfortunately these problems only cropped up between when i got the car (1st of jan) and now! Belt changes had supposedly been done in the service book but there was no receipt for it so thought its better to be safe than sorry! Didnt...
well i did have an issue with him putting it back together and did request it was done before the engine went bk together, however, he has agreed to get the right tool strip it back down and get the part so will have to wait and see i guess!
well apparently he has the tool to do the belt but not the tool for the dephaser (upon speaking to renault these tools kits are 3 parts) sooooo........apparently hes going to get the part and the tool kit from renault and restrip it all...do i trust him? only time will tell i guess!
too late now belts done n hes putting the engine bk together, no doubt ill get it bk running like complete poop, ive faced up to the fact im going to be paying out again. lesson well learnt!
Ive had exceptionally bad luck with my clio 182- owned it a month now and so far its had a new exhaust, belt and tensioner change (both together av cost over a grand!!), Now needs Dephaser doing, Coil spring doing and the xenon washer is leaking into the fog light! Should I just get rid...
I have now learnt my lesson! Renault specialist from now on it is!!!! Dephaser not being done today so will still sound like a tank! Timing will probably be out and it will all have to be stripped bk down and re-done at a later date to rectify the problem! Oh happy days!!!
My 182 is in the garage as we speak having a full service and all belts and kits changed....
However my mechanic has just told me the dephaser pulley has play but he hasnt got the tool to change it?, Is this not the same tool thats needed to do the belt kits?
