you already have by putting an exhaust on it. anything cosmetic is ok but you start messing with the engine parts or suspension then renault wont help you if it goes wrong.
I got in mine the other day and it would not go into reverse. every other gear was fine but it was like something was blocking it engaging reverse. I then left it for 5 mins then went back and it went in. dont know whats going on there.
I was a washer ball short too but I just went out to the local renault dealer when it was late and chaved one of one of the other 172. a great saving! (unlucky for some buggar who buys that car)

Renault really should have put a 6 speed gearbox in the 172. I think it would have attracted more people to buy the car. After all the V6 has one.
I dont understand why the CTR should be quicker than the cup, or 172 for that matter. Isnt torque responsible for acceleration and I believe the 2.0L engine in the clio has more torque than the 2.0L engine in the CTR (not by much). the clio is also 150kg lighter than the CTR therefore the torque...
