You are best installing a fresh copy of w7 to ensure that all the drivers will work correctly, mirroring/copying all o/s files wouldn't work properly. Would probably try doing a fresh reinstall on the current hd or do a good clean up on the o/s to see if that will increase the operating speed first.

An i3 processor will run game such as Crysis 1 and 2! I know this because I've done it! The second gen of i3's have 4 virtual cores which give them the speed of a medium spec quad. My second pc which I use for light editing runs games on high with ease. All depends on what you want to spend anyway.

Scotch locks are alright if you don't feel up to soldering. Bit bulky though when you have a few of them. Also depends on what you connecting to what obviously.

Do this! I managed to lock myself out of mine once by pressing lock instead of rear demist LOL! AA came and uses like a small door wedge/stop at the top of the door opening it slightly then used like a straightened coat hanger to go across to the passenger door handle, made it look sooooo simple!

Zagg's are probably the best screen protector though if you did wont one, quite a bit more money but you don't have to keep replacing them like you do with the cheap ones.
