No cup packs I'm afraid. I was shocked that he has put it on so cheap as I thought he would put it on at nearer £4000 and expect to get knocked down. I think I got a bargain too with the car I bought so it's all a bit strange.
I got rid because I never really got on with the car, although it did everything you want a car to do really, it was fast practical and reliable it wasn't really me. And I'm having a mid life crisis so bought a soft top!
Well that's the odd thing, I kept getting offered between £1800 and £2200 part ex but given the price of the car I bought he has given me £2800. Condition is very good, there is one scratch on the door pillar and a bit of a mark on the front bumper but they're both small marks really. The wheels...
Just to let people know as I have now sold my clio that it is here on Autotrader (at a dealers who I have no connection with.) As I won't be on the forum much I thought I'd let people know it's a straight car, cambelt, aux belt dephaser pulley done in February '11 by Renault specialist in...
My engine light came on a couple of weeks ago, but the car drove ok. Now I knew the exhaust was blowing a bit from the join between the cat and the silencer. When my mate put the reader on the fault came back as '266 O2 sensor signal before cat intermittant fault' (as well as 301 &309 both brake...
I had new discs and pads fitted on the back of my 182 (not a cup) and have noticed that after a journey, the surface rust caused by rain or washing hasn't even rubbed off. Is this normal? The car stops OK, the handbrake works OK. I have looked on here for info about a brake distribution thingy...
I agree standard polo gti's are dog slow. My old lupo gti was quicker, and it was quicker than a mk4 golf gti. Aaaah the lupo the last of the proper gti's.
My guess would be an alternator fault. Although it's not the same car, the exact same symptoms happened to my lupo gti. It turned out to be the connector to the alternator not the alternator itself.
I had an annoying rattle that sounded like it was coming from inside the door, however cleaning it today I noticed the door strip on the outside of the door was loose, took the grmet off the back thinking there would be a loose screw in there and it turns out you just push the strip forwards...
It's something to do with the induction but I thought onlt turbo cars did it (something to do with the wastegate). My smart used to do it when I put the K&N induction kit on it. Rally cars do it too if you listen.
I bought one last week after a bit of looking, I took the view that I would prefer to pay less for one with the odd blemish on the history so that I could get the belts and stuff done myself and know that they've been done. A lot of cars I saw said they had full history and didn't and some...
Loan repayment £100
Insurance £45
petrol £45
tax£20
But I have only owned it a week and it's going in for the cam-belt/aux belt doing + a full service and stuff so that'll probably set me back £800 ish (but I knew this when I bought the car)
I get this too, it's going in on Friday so I'll let you know what my mechanic says. I think it's an exhaust blowing issue as I once had a similar noise on my lupo gti and it was where the old and new (aftermarket) exhausts joined.
Thanks for the info, I am finding that even though there are a few niggly problems with these cars, they are easy to fix. The lights have gone out and haven't come back on, perhaps it was because it had been stood for a bit who knows. I forgot to mention it has a cliosport sticker in the back...
Picked up my '04 182 yesterday and it's great. Had to drive miles to find one at the right price/condition and what happened? The serv light and the esp light came on as soon as I hit the motorway on the way home. When I got home I turned the ignition off and back on again and the lights...
Having just bought a second hand clio (which I pick up tomorrow(woohoo)) I would say the more info the better. As long as your honest. The amount of cars I've seen that say 'full service history' and when you get there (usually driving miles) they clearly haven't is amazing.
Hi all, I'm collecting my 182 on Saturday, can't wait, I've wanted one for years but circumstances haven't been right but now they are! It's an '04 in silver. I'm in Barnsley btw :)
