Below a link to the second part of the famous vid featuring the blasting Mr.GodSpeed, sneaking up from behind and passing lika a demon.
Faster than a bullet from a gun
He is faster than everyone
Quicker than the blinking of an eye
Like a flash you could miss him going by
No one knows...
Here's another vid shot from the Iceberg 172 ph2 (second car in the first pic) following the red ph1 doing a few slow laps...

Slightly OT... In your opinion, what is the problem with the GAZ dampers? too soft, bumpy, poor quality? ?
We are planning a group buy of chassis kits here in Sweden. So far we have had a quick look at the GAZ damper characteristics. A friend of mine did run a few computer simulations based...
I’m about to upgrade from Eibach Pro’s to something stiffer.
I did email Eibach, but they will not tell me the spring rates for the Pro’s.
Any ideas what rates the stock springs and Eibachs are?
According to GAZ their kit is fitted with 250lbs/in (44N/mm) front and 225lbs/in (39,5N/mm)...
Just received a message from my friend working on his gearbox swap / speedo signal problem.
The yellow wire pictured above seems to give no speed signal, just a steady 12V when ignition is turned on....
Any other suggestions?
Thanks! :)
Is it really that easy...?
Just joining the yellow wires together. No other connections neccesary?
My ph2 have the connector in the fusebox, I'll have to check if there is one in his car.
Why do ph1's have a speedo sensor in the gearbox if you can pick the 'ABS'-signal from this...
Hi,
A friend of min has put a gearbox with a plate or torsen diff (don't know which type) into his ph1 172. (I haven't driven the car but he says it works great, really impressive traction. I wan't one too...)
Problem is the new diff has no speedo drive possibilities.
I had a quick look at...
Spring has come to Stockholm (Sweden).
The first event for me to attend this year was part 1 of the Lazzat RS-Challenge.
About 40 cars showed up at the old Lunda military airfield north of Stockholm.
I managed to grab a fifth place a few thenths of a second behind a Mini Cooper but ahead of a...
There seems to be a different cambelt kit from a certain engine no.
Our ph2 172 02-model built in September-01 needs the later type (according to my dealer). As there is a huge price difference between the two kits (here in Sweden at least) it would be interesting to know the exact difference...
Sorry to bother you, but heres another video...;)
This time shot from my friends vx220 following me a few laps at the Gellerasen circuit. http://www.idp.mdh.se/personal/mmt02/privat/francophilia_falk.wmvDownload here. (49MB)

A short track but great fun to drive. Located 450km north of Stockholm. (were...
How do you guys brake? I guess its more a user problem than a hardware problem. ;)
Go for standard Brembo dics/rotors 24x280mm, PFC97 pads and a good quality brake fluid like Motul RBF600 or ATE Superblue.
There is absolute no way that you will be able to cook the fluid or fade the...

I searched for the ratios ph1/ph2... Couldnt find the exact figures. I want to calculate speed vs. RPM(!) for ph1/ph2 and the different Reichard "fifth kits".
Thats why...:devilish:
Really interesting... http://reichhard-motorsport.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=25_148_395_396_1989http://reichhard-motorsport.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=25_148_395_396_1989
Reichards offering longer gearing for 5 gear.
Really interesting. Its a pain driving all the way down to the "ring"...
The Swedish Eibach rep took the struts back :D.
Even if the applications list says so it seems there are no "Eibach" shox for the 172..
I guess RPM has to go for Konis...
