I add, mine does this ABS test "clunk" too, but appears to come from the left passenger front wheel.

common complaint mate, do a search. the engine mount rubber isnt quite flush enough to stop it knocking about. - there *is* a fix and new mount with new part number which renault *should* know about. OTHER than that, which I personally have too - mine clunks / squeaks from the drivers side...

Can peeps all chip in here with their respective mechanical faults as Im going to get something off to Renault. This is my brand new 05 182 cupped so far, 1000 miles on the clock: Faint knocking from front drivers side when in low gears, changing, decellerating etc - this the famous engine...

autoglass fix it with liquid silicon or something, if the crack is smaller than a 10p piece. should be covered in ur insurance and not affect no claims or premiums

i get a knocking - new 05 182, LOOKS like I have a decent engine mount with rubber touching the sides.. and ive taken the cover off, but still get a quiet knock from the front somewhere when moving slowly in low gears. - ANY ideas peeps? NOT when stationary tho?! Si.

Black gold (finally one with minimal monkey scratches) and cup packs Had the 172 for 3 years.. Summary: Much MUCH better handling, feels better put together, no 1st gear clunk, love the grey wheels, better low end torque and VVT kick in is more powerful Only piss annoying thing so far...
