the old alternator had a black earth and a plug.
the new alternator fits in perfectly, but has an earth and two bolt/nut prongs like the earth does :s
confusing.
is it possible for you to post a picture of your alternator and wiring?
i have fitted a Williams alternator to my 16v and i need to wire the old plug up to the new connections as they are different.
thanking you in advance!! :D
The battery died on my clio 16v, so i got a new one, that died, got a new alternator, still no joy.
The car will start fine with a jump start/bump, but when i turn it off it wont fire up again,. will only turn over once or twice, like the battery is dead.
the battery light hasent come on...
there 17" Masitaily Vt7's, and lowered -65mm all round.
not too happy with my car at the moment, your right it did stink of oil...seems to be burning it, also my manafold is blowing :(
it was me...on the A6.....your just jealous of my beautiful naples beast!!!! LOL
i agree i was driving a bit erratic, but no need to call me a tosser......FIESTA BOY!!!
99% sure it was me, i saw you behind me and when you took over i saw your cliosport sticker, you continued towards the Asda and i turned left into the Centre.
my car is naples red, not blue!!
is this the car?
i'm looking into lowering my valver, i used to have a 1.4 RT and lowered that, but i believe that the brake bias valve has to be ajusted on the 16v's.
just a few questions if anyone can help.
why does it have to be ajusted?
how is it done?
thanks in advance!!

i remember a few years ago, a guy got a valver, re-sprayed it naples red. put masitaly VT7's and lowered it really really low.
he sold it soon after.
does anyone remember who that was, and does anyone have any pics of the car?
thanks
is there anything i can do, i tried the home made tool on weights guide and when i was winding the bolt up it popped out with the threading gone...
any help and advice would be very appreciated.
i have started to smooth my boot but it looks odd with only my key hole to open the boot, what would i need to be able to open the boot from inside the car so i can smooth it all off.??
thanks for the help guys, i thourght it would be quite hard to replace the springs, the most i have done is replaced the wishbones, i think i might get some spring compressors over the weekend and give it a go.
would i need the traking done after i replace the springs?
i have ordered some-55mm springs from k-tec and was wondering if they would be ok on my 1.2 (1995 ph2) with 195/50/15 tyers, and how much am i looking at getting them put on, and lowering torsion bar to match?
