the buzz is coming from the top/cam belt side of the engine i think.the engine is sweet through the rev range but just sounds very rough when idling when warm

iv had a look but none seem to mention the rattle/buzz?

when my mk2 172 is started from cold the engine sounds fine but once warm u hear a buzz/rattle at around 1750rpm as the revs rise then again at around 1750rpm as the revs drop,once warm the engine also sounds rough when idling,any ideas anyone? thanks

im 31 to,u get to know good cars as u get older.i used to be into fords,had 2 rs turbo`s n a sierra cosworth,although fast they didnt handle well compared to renaultsport clios n we expensive to run

thanks for your help,ill have a look under tomorrow,just got new exhaust on today,gutted when it still made the noise!! think the car needs new engine mounts,so the sound will just be the exhaust vibrating against the heat shield because of that?
