    Clicking Noise

The way I see it, it tells me something is working which can only be a good thing. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk

How much have you spent on your clio?

Will be close to £1k once I get the belts and mount done - not bad for a week hehehe

    Here we go again..........

I suspect mine probably looks the same. It was changed by the previous owner last year for £350 and it's now got a f**ked dephaser. I have to spend £££s to correct someone else's bodge job :( Still at least I'll know it's been done and done properly!

    Knocking Passenger Side

I'd always replace both shocks/ springs on front or rear otherwise you'll probably yoyo down the road.

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

Jsut in case you thought things were improving with the car though.... RCL stopped working today and I've blown another headlight bulb. hehe

    High Milage 172

Even with the abuse mine has suffered it's on 120k and the engine is still bone dry with no oil or water leaks. Starts straight away and knackered dephaser excluding runs smoothly with plenty of pull. Good strong engines. As for the rest of the car that remains to be seen

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

It was great once you get them started, fiddly at first but once you get a good handful they are quite tough and tear off without ripping.

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

Tints are gone! Quite good fun ripping them off, was like therapy :) Put both the odd mirrors on for the time being until I get the incorrect drivers side mirror replaced. They may look a bit odd, but they both work which is more than I can say for the cheapo M3s I removed. Operation...

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

Brakes are now working as they should be and what a difference! :approve: Amazing the difference dead fluid and a stuck calliper makes to your braking efficiency hehe Now just the hybrid mirrors to sort out and then do the belts and my car shall rule them all! Muhahahaha! Well ok maybe it will...

How many miles does a clio engine last for?

My old GTi-6 was at 150k of hard miles and never grumbled. Personally the way it's been driven and the quality of servicing is more important to me than the miles - most of my cars have been high milers.

    Considering a clio diesel

I had a 406 Hdi and that was faultless. Ok so it's like driving a silent fart where everything is all quiet and fluffy ;) The ride is cushioned, the pedals are light, the spec is good, the steering is light, they are pretty economical. Mine only needed glow plugs and glow plug relay in 4...

    Clio 172 running gear resto

Nice to see he cares enough about his car to go to those lengths. I wouldn't bother no matter how much I love my car.

    clio 172 and babies

My boy is 14 months and I managed to get the front facing child seat in the back... just. Rear facing I think it'll be tight.

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

Ouch heavy week! All I had today was losing three hours of work where a file I was working on corrupted and I saved over the top for three hours. My fault lol

Well I just noticed they were slightly different shades of silver. But thanks for pissing on my bad week as well :rasp:

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

I also noticed that the passenger side has two extra pins in the plug, is this for the temp sensor? Not sure if I'll look like a t**t with odd mirrors or if anyone would even notice. It might start to annoy me though, but I'm tempted to just keep them and fit them because anything is better than...

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

Unless I have a random mirror and a random 172 mirror but they are both electric and the same fitting/ plugs.

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

One of them is slightly smaller than the other as well. Again something I doubt will be noticeable when on the car.

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

That's what's keeping me going at the mo. I want to right previous wrongs caused to the car and bring it back to life :approve:

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

Different caps. I'm assuming one is ph1 and one is ph2. One one the cap extends all the way down the top of the arm, on the other the arm is black and the cap only covers the back of the mirror. TBH I and people on here will probably be the only ones that will notice when they are on the car. I...

I think I'll call my car Norman Wisdom

Because it's being a complete farce at the moment. Went back into the garage to re check the brakes again, got a call from the garage saying a calliper was sticking and when they dismantled it a slide bolt snapped. They can't get a new bolt till tomorrow. Fair enough not their fault, the...

    mistakes :(

It was pretty cheap but when I bought it I knew about some of the stuff and planned to change some mods anyway. Unfortuantly some of the car issues were a "pleasant" surprise on the 220 mile drive home. Oh well, nothing that can't be fixed with money and TLC.

    mistakes :(

Welcome to the de-chav club. I'm starting to de-chav my car's previous owners mistakes. Gone are the italic number plates, mirrors arriving today to replace the nasty M3s and tints will get ripped off this weekend by me. Just have to replace the 17s with 15s then it's going to stay lowered with...
