If you want to push the boat out on the sub frame, then go for the 182 as believe this has different mounting points for the wish bones.
Moving the location forward in turn increasing the wheel base. Please check before doing this as

Would love to join you all, but think putting my location down (Lydd, Kent) would be mighty unfair of me as a lot of you would be driving a long way down south.

I know spacers have been done to death, but can't find a deferent answer to what I'm looking for.
My dilemma is Im running a 172 rear axle, with discs with standard 172 springs and 205/45/16s and find the wheels are rubbing on the inner liner.
What I want to do is space them out from the axle...

my 172 rear axle complete with good discs and pads only cost me 99p from my favourite bargain bucket EBay!

Would deffently say it was a ball joint. Jack up the drivers side and grip the bottom of the wheel and give it a wiggle in and out. You should feel or hear a clonking.

have done the rear disco convention and now have all the front bits
lower arms
drive shafts
hubs
discs callipers
shocks
springs
