Wow I haven’t updated this thread in almost 6 years hahaha
so I still have the Clio(y)
about 5 years ago me and the family decided to move to Australia with that my company said they would pay to move everything over so the Clio came with meo_O
Since then I have been racing on and off over...
Been away working since posting this thread mate so not had the chance to get anyone to look at it.
Also there may be a possibility I am moving with work so the car will have to wait a little.
Ok thanks Mick, and regarding the timing check would you trust Renault (France) to be competent to do this? There is a Renault garage close who state the have a rs specialist
Yeah it's on the base map but after chatting with ktec they said that this maps was ok for running straight off.
If I wanted to get the absolute best performance then I was to go for mapping.
I'm based in Northern France so a bit of a nightmare when it come to logistics
Hi all, I am after some advice, since fitting an itb kit I am having running issues
I have fitted a ktec itb kit along with the gen90 ecu. Since then at idle it seems to blow back through the ITB's at both 1 and 2 cylinders (sometime 1 other times 2)
After supplying a data log to Ktec the came...
All
I have a quick question and photo request if possible.
I have just fitted a ktec itb kit but how have you guys supported the top of your radiator (standard) after? Mine moves quiet a lot and will hit my oil cooler that is fitted in front.
Gaz
Mine cracked after one track day right across the whole tyre but I decided to do another day on them and they got no worse. Ended up doing over 6 fully trackdays on them, they just wouldn't wear out.
I wouldn't say they are a great tyre as I'm now running the dmack and they are great (but wear...
Ok Mick once again thanks for your help, I'm gonna still try to find a place over here that can have a look, then I will way up what to do, either trailer the car over to you and see family for a couple of days for go down the ITB route
Had a good look around the wiring and cleaned all the relays and large white plug but couldn't find anything at the moment.
I'm still trying to find a specialist over here but so far cannot.
On another note though I was already thinking of doing throttle bodies, so I did that surely I wouldn't...
Ok I will try to see what I can get done over this way.
Thanks for your help, it's shame that the car is here with me as I'm originally from Eastwood which is close to you and my old man actually lives in Long Eaton..
I may send you a message if I have issues trying to sort it, if that's ok?
Gaz
Cheers for the replies guys.
Mick, can you explain more what you mean regarding getting the pedal tracks scoped? I am more mechanically minded but will have a go at anything, also I have another issue being that I am an English guy in frAnce and the garages here are clueless, difficult and...
Hello all I am after some advice on what to do with the track car.
Recently at Spa Francorchamps the car kept going into limp mode after about 2 hard laps, with a code scanner it came up with P0120 throttle pedal position sensor A circuit malfunction.
As I didn't have a pedal with me I tried...
Yes mate I'm hitting the limit of the straight before eau rough so having to let off for a second before putting my foot to the floor again, reason being 5th is to long and Boggs you down if you go into it.
Hi guys
I was a the Circuit Days Nurburgring track day last Tuesday and thought I would share a vid of me doing a lap, I'm pretty happy with my time of 8.47 BTG but think I could have done better after watching the video as I noticed I lifted a few times when it was it needed and slowed down to...
