I think I'd be happy with that or anything > £6000
I might try and trade it in though and am bound to get robbed blind by some dealer
I'm hoping that the blueflame doesn't cause any problems

nice Fred - always liked those green wheels
talking of wheels - have you sorted those wheel caps for me yet - its been quite a while now ?
I could do with them now as I am thinking of changing the car.

what do you mean by a new clamp for the exhaust ? I'm sure mine is blowing again, sometimes it sounds louder than others usually when its hot for some reason ?
mitch
is it usual that the blueflame exhausts get louder the hotter they get ?
when I start out in the morning it is fine, but after a few miles it starts getting boomy - is this normal
(on a 172)

fitted mine to my 172 around May time so it has had a good time to bed in. Unfortunatly I'm of the same opinion that it is too loud but not in a good way - it seems that in normal driving it is too boomy ??
I would like to add a couple of questions to the thread if possible :-
1. Does...
just did a search for variator on the forum and didn't really come up with anything ? is this really a common problem ? I'd be interested to know whether you have to have this changed or not.. I thought that by replacing the exhaust system it sometimes smooths out the 5k kick - I know that I...
just fitted it - lovely sound and much better than the custom jobbie that I had fitted. I was quite supprised as the 63mm bore makes the 50mm look like a pea shooter but is actually quieter ??
I was supplied with 2 rubber mounts ? I am right in thinking that I need to chop out the renault...
not sure if any of you guys remember my original post, but I was moaning about the bore of a custom exhaust I had fitted and the fact that I thought it was sapping power:-
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=131407&page=2&highlight=5k+kick
cut a long story short, I found the...
make sure you get a proper one though at the right bore - see my thread on loosing my 5k kick
my advice - use Fred (Yossersport) or Charlie from prospeed - tried and tested
unfortunatly it seems like some of the normal "custom exhaust" places no fuckall about exhausts and you'll end up...
looks like a dead loss unfortunatly guys - I phoned them yesterday and today and was told various things including that they wouldn't fit a 63mm bore to an engine like the 172 as it doesn't generate enough power and that the back boxes that they use do not cause any back pressure so there...
thanks for the replys - I think I'll ask charlie for a quote and at the same time ask him what size he would generally use as a rule of thumb..
what does bother me is why the chap fitted a smaller bore ?? I mean the place that I went to specialises in custom fit stainless exhausts
I...
maybe you guys can point me in the right direction here.. I've had my 172 for a couple of years now and has just clocked up 20k untill recently I've had no real major problems untill on the way home one night the exhaust backbox just dropped off ..
to make matters worse, the car sounded like...

a lot of people have BIG problems with the samsung models, but they are generally the bigger ones.. i.e 32 - 40"

Out of interest I just bought a Sharp P50e and its the tits
anybody know of a descent exhaust places around worcester ?
backbox fell off my 172 on the way home tonight and I had to cut it off the rubber at the back - sounds like a tractor
I might just go for the ktec stealth exhaust, are they easy to fit ?? and what about the rubber thing I had to...
ok - thanks KDF I managed to get the front off, but do you need to take the connectors off the airbag unit before you take the wheel off, or are they connected under the wheel ?
mitch
could somebody give me a step by step guide to how I can remove the steering wheel and what I would need tools wise ?
so far I have disconected the battery for a couply of hours, turned the wheel 90 degrees and found the clips at the back ? do I just need to pull hard to get the cover off ...
feck me - exactly the same happened to me in January at the same place. The rubber was scuffed on the right hand side of the steering wheel. I only realised what had probably caused it about two weeks after so I didnt really have a chance to call them and give them a bollocking..
I think that...
have you tried reseting the dash panel ?
hold the button in on the stalk and switch the ignition on - the dash will then go into like a self test mode. Let it run a couple of times and then switch off...
see if that makes it any better

just thought I would put up some pics of my 172 that was pimped by Fred the other day. Pictures unfortunatly dont do them justice, but gives you an idea anyway - colour is Charcoal / Anthracite I think
must say a very professional job and would definatly use again - real nice lad and the...
not at all Fred they look real nice - Ill put up some pics when there on. I think that they really set off a silver car nicely without being over the top.
