Thanks maybe i did not do it right then. I will try it again so turn ignition on then wait 30 seconds then turn it over. I disconnected the fuse in engine and removed coilpack wire I will test again maybe it was me Thanks for your reply

it does yes I would say soot had new coil pack and plugs a wet test is where you put oil in the spark plug holes this makes a temp seal to tell you what's wrong with the car just unsure what oil I can use as I don't have any here is a good link just found...

Hi just took coil pack off and the lead came off plastic very strange anyway I decided to remove cylinder 2 spark plug and it was dirty they have only been in a few weeks the old ones were cleaner here is a picture any way to clean inside ? or wd 40 / carb cleaner Here is picture

yeah could be faulty he said it has happened to him before he printed a report out think the code on one of his readers was DF112. hope my cats ok how do you test them he never said anything like so fingers crossed its the coil pack will let you know

yeah thats right leads from your coilpack like all one unit

Its the D4F mate all leads are on full pack so thats why I think I might have problems

I sort of know what you mean.my coil pack has built in wires so not sure if I am the right track lol shop said they will swap pack if needed no problem can I still do what you said ? Thanks for your help its a 1.2 Expression

Thanks for that thought It might have been. Well an update on the car been to garage today and guy listened to engine and done diagnostic and it came up with Misfire on cylinder 2 the mechanic suggested I return coil pack to shop as he thinks this is the issue not sure what you guys think.

Just an update guys been out tonight car acted up reset it and it was driving fine on way back. but me and my partner heard like a water noise like ,glunk, glunk, glunk, it had been raining before hand but was coming from inside of car not engine. Any ideas what this was only heard it the once...

I think you done well There buddy great read car looked much betteronce done I liked all the things you done too it I like tints in rear but some people don't. front bottom lights look good on these cars too cheers for sharing your work

Hi lokqust I also own 2001 1.2 16v Expression and my engine light comes on but misfires, strange that your ecu doesn't go in to idle mode like mine does. :( Like the guys said you could disconnect it I think I would take it to a different Mot place Hope you get it sorted I never like this light...

Hi katonna I hope you have managed to sort problem out I would buy an obd2 reader off ebay I bought one for £33 deliverd and works great use one of them to reset ecu.I use one on my clio but my light comes back on at first I paid £80 for one from shop then took it back and bought the latest one...

or forgot to mention. I have noticed that the big hose on the bottom of air filter has broken it then joins to the car frame work I have put tape on it not sure if this will cause issues or not. Cheers gareth
