I've got exactly the same problem on my 172 and a couple of people suggested it could be a thrust bearing and I had this noise going for a year now I should really think about getting it looked at aswell lol

I'll be calling Neill tomorrow to get my insurance sorted he done me a quote last week and it was 10 times better than any other quote I had

This may be a stupid question but here goes :) Are 172 cup springs stiffer than standard springs ? im looking to stiffen up my 172 cos it rolls like a b**ch when going round corners and i cant afford to lower it atm due to insurance and lack of funds is there anyway i can make the ride of my car...
