I bought a Alienware Aurora 7 , I7 8700k , 1080ti, M2 SSD, 16gb DDR4 and a Ausus ROG PG278q 165hz 7 years ago now, it was time for an upgrade. I have been hunting deals since september.
Just upgraded to a 7800x3d, 4080 super with 32gb 6000mhz cl30, MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi Samsung 990Pro, pre...
Ric and I both had PB's this time out, LSD is megga never been through Island bends and Water Tower so fast, the grip adds to confindence to. Mildly moist too!
I've found a spare slider and borrowed my passgener seat from my Clio, feels Ace!
I've also added some Dyton Audio Bass Shakers via Sim Hub, Engine Vibration, gearshifts, Road texture, kerbs wating on some rumble motors for the pedals. Sounds a bit gimicky but it all adds to the immersion feels...
I have installed them and the pure shaders, the Mk5 Clio Cup car is a bit tricky to drive. I've gone back to ACC to practice with the Bentley at Oulton Park, starting to get a feel for things now, caught a slide drifted a bit through Old hall and felt like a driving god :P
Assetto Evo looks...
I'm sucking a lot too, I'm doing a bit of Oulton park had to DL mod track on AC and the Clio V cup, I find the 720 easier to drive on ACC. At least I know where I'm going @ oulton. Brandshatch on AC with the Audi S1 isn't bad, yet to get the first long bend right though.
I had something similar yesterday, AC working fine but ACC stopped recognising my wheel. I uninstalled the lot including steam and fanatec drivers. All working fine again now. 900mbps is useful when doing this !
Cleared Uk Customs this morning, waiting for my tax and UPS bill. Seems like it's much smoother than early brexit/blackfriday c**k-ups.
Monitor arrived yesterday :) been watch 21:9 Assetto corsa footage on youtube as I have no way of controlling anything yet, getting excited.
I've decided to have a go after a few friends talked me into it.
I picked up a Omega GT ART with chair and monitor stand for £200, I've got some strengthening bits to go on.
Searched Ebay and Market place, the best price seems to be the bundle deal for Fanatec direct. Ordered at the start of...
Sorry meant to add the rear feels a bit stiff on the roads, it was bouncing on the undulations on the M62. Not seen a softer rear on the BC kits than 8, but I think a 7 might be nicer on the road.
Only recently got to try it out on track, Oulton park. I love this thing so much more grip in the corners, can't wait for the next one, just need to get braver now as the car is far more capable than I am.
