Guys, just been told by mechanic that I need a new steering rack! Any ideas on the price to buy a new one? A good price and how much it would be to have one fitted? Before he gives me a price and I accept? Also where would be best to get one from? Thanks

Thanks guys, the brake fluid was indeed low. And yes the light was coming on round corners. Topped it up and the light remains off. Thanks again!! Chris

Had new disks and pads front and rear last week, today the brake light on dash keeps coming on for a split second then going off for a few miles then flash on again? any ideas please guys? before i take it back to the geeza tomorrow who fitted brakes. thanks

I've decided to make my own using the standard mount an fill the rubber with tigerseal leaving only the hole in the middle for the exhaust hanger to slide through. 5min job, looks a proper job and works a treat. Thanks for replies guys.

Hi, does anyone know of a rear exhaust mount for a 172 that doesn't fall to bits after 5 miles? Does anyone have a link or info of a aftermarket improved one? Maybe a solid type? Thanks guys

Is anyone selling any coilovers for a 172 (mines not cup) got just springs on atm an its unbearable now!!

Is anyone selling a exhaust for a ph2 172? my standard one is getting ready for replacing and a new sound would be nice... thanks in advance

honestly do not get just springs. the ride becomes unbearable if you live anywhere where the road is not perfect. cheap coilovers start at about £400 then rise dramatically for the "better" named brands, to the regen of £1200+

Engine management lights on an limp mode activted!! Reading through everyone elses experiences with this problem, it seems whatever part you replace the symptoms persist. Any advice? Is the clio termanally ill?

When its cold and when its warmed up. its now ticking over at 3000rpm!!! Payday monday so a trip to the garage, just wanted a clue to the price so i dont get robbed and also to brace myself if it is going to be dear. Thanks for any help. Chris

i have a 2003 172 and now the tick over is 2000rpm. soon as i put clutch in it revs up to 2000rpm when changing gear. im no good under a bonnet etc, so what could be the problem and how much would it be at a garage to be fixed? thanks for any help. Chris
