so looking at alot of posts and threads i am lead to believe to open the bonnet on my 172 (because it is stuck down) will be to remove the front bumper check and then remove the front top grill ok so then i still need to open the bonnet how do i do this ? keep hearing people say u need a long...

that will be my next move to pop to my local renault dealer on friday and find out if mine was a recall or not does anyone have or can point me in the right direction on how to step by step with pics on how i can open the bonnet if i still have no joy it will be a angle grinder and a new bonnet

its a 51 plate 172 not sure on what phase as i have no idea on how to tell tbh new to the clio lol and no it was not a auction purchase i got it know the bonnet was not opening tbh i thought it may be a easy fix (o how i was wrong)

i dont know if mine has been recalled how do i find out?

the car does have a lil rattle in 1st and 2nd when u put your foot down the big problem is surprise surprise the bonnet is stuck down and will not open :-(

hey all just got my Clio sport on the 1/09/2012 and it is a epic car could not believe how much quicker it is compared to my old car a (ford focus st170) the Clio does have some issues witch i will post up and ask for your advise if that’s ok and hopefully get the Clio back to all its glory
