Re: Would you buy a 100,000 mile 182
I bought a mk1 172 back in 2005 which had done about 123k. I ran it for about 6 months, covering around 10k miles, and then sold it on. Only fault I had in that time was exhaust rusted through, but thats more down to age than mileage. Never had any engine...
Anyone got any ideas on this?? Repair quote has come out at just over £4,600, and I only have an agreed value on the car of £5,000. Even though thats well over the normal 60% value cut-off rate to w/off a car rather than repair, I think its looking like its going to be repaired.
As far as the...
I wouldn't use Reliance for servicing.,or if I did then i'd request that only Paul Softly gets to work on the car, had sooo many problems there with my girlf's old Dynamique.
As for 172 reliability, I owned mine for about 8 months, and it had about 130k on the clock when I sold it. I never had...
Spotted yesterday afternoon in Morrisons car park, not sure if it was a genuine Williams as wasn't numbered stickers, (ie, was just Williams) but was a ph2
I've just submitted a claim due to vandal damage to my car.
Can i request that the money is paid directly to me, rather than to a repairer? Im just thinking about this as wondering if I might be best to put the money towards a new car and sell mine as is without getting it repaired. I've not...
I'll be in touch with you shortly Gary, just about to have the front end of my Williams re-sprayed, and will be wanting the remainder of the car done by machine to get rid of the light swirl marks etc
Plus im in Norwich too which makes it even better!
I see loads of 172's / 182's about in Norwich, but no-one ever seems to have a cliosport sticker. The only people i ever spot who come on here are Karlos Fandango in his V6 (well, its a little hard to miss!), and Phil in his 182.
A lady in a 172?? I'll keep my eyes out for her! Only woman i ever see in a Sport around Norwich is in an Inferno 182
Anyhow, still never spotted you around Norwich either :dapprove:
I'd go for Toyo Proxies. But check your size, you should really be running 185/55/15's, although many people go to 195/50/15's as they're a little cheaper.
Have a look on Mytyres.com Can't normally beat them on price, but add in about £10 a tyre to get them fitted locally
I'd come along for the cruise + pub now I have a Clio again, but in London the w/end of the 15th. I'd say yes to carting, but it can be a right bit*h on an outdoor track in the cold and wet
Yeah they're pretty common around Europe, think the earlier ones had a differant name but can't think of it off hand. There were loads of them in Mexico, plus other cars like Corsa and Fiesta saloons that we dont get in the UK........ i'm glad we dont have them here though, they all look so ugly
Hmm, i got mine on vodafone for free, plus £30 cash back. Contract is £30 a month though over 12 months, so works out a little less over the 12 months as no initial outlay. There's so so many differant tariffs about though, its just a case of going for the one that suits you best
Well i've just gone for the N80, ending up haggling and getting it for free, so hasn't cost much more than the 6280 would have done
Pink it up tomorrow when I have more time
Cheers for the advice and opinions
Im now due to get a new contract. I've narrowed it down to either the Nokia 6280 (free) or the N80 or N91 (both £150).
What would people recommend?
I only really use the phone for calls and texting obviously, but like to have a reasonable camera, and a few extra toys always come in handy...
Spotted last nite, looked very nice...... not sure what was wrong with it though..... weaving side to side, must've been to warm those tyres up for that bendy fast road we were on.... oh no, we were on a dead straight 2-mile long sea-front with a 30mph limit
