I'm looking for a pair of nearside doors for mine and would like to try and get them the same colour. The code on mine is TE145 I think. Any ideas as to the colour name?

Afternoon! Just tried visiting the dedicated DCI forum but there doesn't seem to have been any activity on there for a while. Does anybody know if the forum is still going or just not very popular?

Nice colour IMHO! 16" 172 alloys are cheap enough to source although they wont look a lot different to your wheel trims to be fair! Sport colour coded boot spoiler, colour coded mouldings and how about a pair of Sport front seats? The list is endless but you pay your money and take your choice!

As Mick said, possible rebuild would be easier! Saves a lot of hard work and at least if you know whats been done to the engine you would be able to trust it in the future!

Are the bell housing bolts 8mm thread like that? If a couple have rattled loose you wouldn't notice until your box dropped out!

Ever thought of trying to fit the electric system? The rack is obviously pretty basic but the column is powered! Don't know how difficult this may be, not tried it. I have heard however that the ratio in the rack from a van is lower making for fewer turns on the wheel! ( I think)!! :p

I think the first port of call would be to fit an injector then! I hear some really scary stories about these! Seizing into the head etc. Is there anything I need to watch out for? And do they need coding into the ECU like some other cars? Thanks Destroyer! ;)

Sorry to hear that mate! But to all intent and purpose your engine is dead! Best thing would be to swap the lump and as has been mentioned before replace the belt water pump and dephaser before it goes back in! ;)

Morning! Just finished fitting yet another set of ARB bushes to her Dci. The third set in 2 years!! They just seem so weak. Is there a modified version that may last a little longer, ie, polyurethane or the like??

Mot fail if you've got xenon lamps as its a legal requirement! Otherwise I'd be looking at blanks. You'd be changing washer bottles, switches, relays all sorts!!

Bad earth to the rear lamps! Get someone to run through the lights while you watch which ones are playing up. Clean the terminals and make sure the connections are secure!

Lock your steering over to one lock, stick your head underneath and with a spanner in your hand, check the track rod lock nuts have been tightened! Check both sides then you will either want to kill some sloppy mechanic or you've just eliminated one problem!

Quick reply is NO! If the vehicle is equipped with the waning light and airbags as standard, the light must illuminate when the ignition is switched on and then extinguish a few seconds after!
