Unfortunately I saw a blue 182 on its side this morning at about 08:20 on the A180 heading away from Grimsby, it looked in a bad way, front bumper looked like it had been smashed off and the wheels didn't look straight although it was difficult to see. It's was accompanied by a traffic car and...
I'm getting mine done I a couple of weeks, although I'm taking it to Diamond so should be ok. There are too many horror stories about to risk this job, but I do have sympathy for those who have been stung!
Love the Hotel Zur Burg, simple, clean and Bitburger on tap :-)
You are parked in the exact place I always seem to park too, must be some magnet to French metal about!
Both Lukecustoms and Devotec M3s are serious machines, they were the fastest cars that weekend along with the Raeder Motorsport TT RS. In fact they are two of the fastest cars I have seen on the Nordschleife. That video was taken from the weekend I was there in Oct 13. Was a really good...
This is a link to the current spec of my Trophy and the write ups of what I have done with the car,

I run HC discs with RC6 pads, Motul 600 fluid, braided hoses and CM Composite ducts, works a treat on track and road performance is acceptable. Strong and fade free.
Interesting indeed, I don't mind wet trackdays but obviously prefer dry. I have done Donington it the wet too, that also was a day that started dry and finished wet, again I was in the R26 on R888s, plenty of sliding was the order of the day!
I had a good duel with the blue Clio in one of the...
Pity I didn't see it, love 172 cups! Did you see a Monaco Blue 172 on the track going well? Is it on here?
It's still ok to do it in the wet, but be wary of Hall Bends (I spun my old R26 Megane in the wet there on R888s).
These are a couple of videos I got in my Trophy on Thursday evening :

I will...
Mine does the same, it has been looked at by various garages and they are all of the opinion that it is one of the characteristics of the PMS top mounts...
Mine only does it allow speed, as soon as you are moving at 30mph+ it stops.
Yeah I get what you mean, there is a certain thrill about tf days. Agreed that flat out on the straight under the bridge would be cheating, see what you mean about cheating now ;-) Would be interested to see the full spec of your car, as I said she sounds a beaut. I am trying to wrestle with...
I am not saying that tf are no good for clear laps (have had plenty before), I was just unlucky, my point is that to maximise quality driving time when you have driven 500miles and spent a ton of money it may be the way forward, however if it is not cost effective then I'll see you in the car...
"Not as light as you would think" lol, 930kg is a proper effort mate, I suspect that is the secret behind the superior pace. I like you positive thinking with regards to getting into the 8:20s, that will make a very good video. I'm not familiar with the Grp N tuning, how did you go about getting...
Grip from the A048s was excellent, they gave great feedback and responded as you would want towards the limit although my cars setup does induce understeer (given more time we would have adjusted toward neutral on the ARB), future trackdays will be done with a stiffer setup. We were pushing...
The lap I posted was the fastest we recorded thanks to the GoPro misbehaving (we thought we had a few at safely under 9mins but there was nothing :() but the footage where we weren't held up by traffic is at approx 8:40 pace. I would have killed for a lap like yours earlier in the month! There...
As I said I am happy with that time given the conditions on the track, although a clear lap would have been good. The lack of quality driving time available is still a sore point now, but there's always next time....
Haha nice one mate, you certainly sounded like you were convincing yourself...
