    The plates are now sorted...mine were riveted on so I just drilled through and the number plate poped off....Ive used sticky pads to put the new plates on. Decent;)

    Removing old number plates

    Arr, I thought mine were screwed on but the head is not a cross or line, and when i looked behind the screw type thing it looked like it was riveted on. I was twisting it for ages and it never came off. My old 1.2 clio plates were stuck on but the cup is just a nightmare.

    Superchip..anyone

    I dont think the 172 they tested had any mods....the bhp before was sumthing like 174 then after was 184 @ 6126rpm, suppose tho the rest of the rev range will only be increased by 6-7 bhp

    Has anyone got their 172 superchipped? Just been on the superchip website and they claim it gives an extra 10bhp and theres a dyno graph to prove it....has anyone experienced the power increase first hand?

    172 cup - running in (ooops)

    Done approx 550 miles now......will my cup get any quicker with the more miles i.e 1500 as the book states that you can resonably expect full performance after these miles?

    Well i havent been on the site for about 2 days...mainly to the fact that ive been driving my new cup around ....clocking up them miles....done 300 in 2 days!!! Cant believe the pull in fourth gear....and not even going high in the revs! Like a post above people do slow down to have a look...

    I think ive read somewhere that the Cup comes with a shift light in the dash. Is this true or is it just wishfull thinking on my behalf?

    Cheers for that, yep i bought a the car without knowing what CC was...but at the end of the day....it doesnt matter to me which cup 172 i bought just as long as i had one!!:D I got a good deal..i think... on 53 plate, delivery miles, £10500 from reg vardy....
