OK great it looks like we're getting somewhere. Do you know how easy it would be to replace the TDC Sensor cable? I cant see where it goes back to. as an additional test I shorted the TDC sensor cable and it was displaying exactly the same rpm.

The engine speed is showing 186 rpm when the engine isn't cranking, my van is showing a reading of 0 rpm which I would expect.

Yes the red LED goes off and the camshaft is moving when I try to start the car.
