glad all are positive comments. im really please with the car and is such an improvement from the clio 1.2. for a 1.2 it seems a lot faster than he clio for starters, maybe because its a newer engine?
unfortunately the Clio died last year and after a discussion with a mechanic mate he advised me that it would cost in the excess of £1500 to fix. As annoying as it was because of the time and effort i had put in to the car i decided to get rid of it and buy a mk7 Fiesta.
let me know what you...
hi guys
if you follow my project thread you will see that iv fitted a new set of turinis. For some reason the handling of the car has dropped.
when i break it seems to pull to the left a bit, if i hit an uneven road it seems to want to pull in different directions
any clues?
yeah it would be nice to get one, just cant justify the cost to myself at the moment! (ill find a way lol)
that would be brilliant to build something like that, iv thought about a capri before but couldnt find any good insurance for it
UPDATE
Iv done a few little bits to the car recently nothing worthy of an update just bulbs, new bumper strip, etc
I gave it a quick wash yesterday, take a look at the pic and see the progress so far
Yep asking as you have all the correct tools and follow the video step by step you will be fine. It's made a huge difference to. Much more of a fun smooth drive now. No juddering along at traffic lights etc. while you are in there you may as we'll give the crank shaft sensor a clean as well...
yeah very true see if you can pick one up from one of the guys breaking theirs on here.
iv become unsure about lowering it to be fair, the ride is pretty rough at the moment i dont think i want to make it worse. im really happy with the alloys, may need a little refurb at some point but not...
the projects looking good mate. i prefer the badges left as the standard silver/chrome.
check my thread out if you like mate iv got the exact same car from the same year
let me know what you think, keep it up
Update -
ended up making a lot of progress this weekend
I picked up the new alloys from GW200 thanks a lot mate they look brilliant. I also gave the throttle body a clean which turned in to a bit of a problem. After getting the manifold and throttle body clean i put it all back together and...
Ok. Thanks guys I need to get this done by Monday morning!
Ok ok I need to find out what the issue is
so far
its not the Immobiliser problem
the car turns over perfectly just there is no start
What could it be?
I only unplugged things relevant to the cleaning guide on the forum.
This is what iv found after reconnecting everything after cleaning the throttle body. I never removed this so I must have pulled out accidentally. Are we talking about the crank shaft sensor here? If so should there be a plug on the end of them two wires?
It's the 2 wires going into the crank shaft plug. Is there any way I can just plug these 2 back into the socket? It's a real struggle to get to it in order to actually put pressure onto the plug to push it in
