Just an update on car ... Took car to dan at sj motors checked timing all 100% fine........ few problems found tho ! Gasket on cam cover shot and leaking oil and reading of destructive misfire it was read on clio clip system so gonna have to look into tha :(

It had service 7 months ago but just said oil on service stamp .... It was the year before had stamp for plugs and filter ect ..... Perhaps need service .........wouldn't it be more loss off power if timing was even slightly out ?

I'm not too good at reading these printouts but it says ..... EST FLY BHP MAX 169 bhp not sure if that's what your after ??? he did explain all print out but went straight over my head lol

Just came back from gotboost Bridgend after dyno run ... My 182 is putting out 169 bhp what he said he would expect to see he has had a few in ......141 ftlb of torque also ... He said although my idle is lumpy in his opinion my timing is ok all all other reading seems fine so he suggested...

No I'm not just wanted to see what they would charge lol taking the piss ain't they it's going on rolling road tomorrow to see what I'm loosing bhp wise I'll post 2mrw let everyone know :)

Yeah it could be but that's why I'm looking to get it checked good place to start I think ....... 90% of the threads I've read regarding loss of power and lumpy idle turns out to be cam timing problems so think this May be first port of call .... :)

Asked renault dealers near me to check if timing was out they wanted £386 just to check they told me it's the same job as replacing the cam belt ????? No thanks be looking for someone else if I can find someone ?

Is there any way to check coil pack fault without buying new one don't want to spend money if this not the problem sorry for all the question as this is my first clio I'm a bit in the dark :S Also the last service has ACEA oil only ticked the service before that has has spark plugs ... Air...

I was thinking about new plugs never thought about coil pack tho I'll look into that ... As far as power kick I seem to get a lot of early power first and second but once hit about 4000 revs seems to be pretty flat in 5th gear at around 6000 revs I'm get about 100 mph it's struggling to get much...

I'm a bit thick just checked had last service 6-3-13 sorry people for confusing you I am going to get it checked anyway just for piece of mind :)
