I'm in Duston, but my car is being sold shortly to make way for an estate or similar barge!
Saw another girl driving a Cup up Berrywood Road the other day, but she didn't wave or anything....
Dave was lucky enough to go to the ring in his 944 turbo at the weekend on the first day of public opening, and made this video.
Can you believe that one week before the track was knee deep in snow!?

I ran over a deer in my other halfs Porsche 944 Turbo..... Didnt do too much damage to the car, but I think the deer was dead.
Front bumper had blood and hair stuck to it for a while.
Thanks, thats me driving, my mate Emma in the front seat and my 5 yr old daughter in the back. She just loves the Carousel........ :D
I have the full piccie somewhere if anyones interested!
Hi,
The police did ask if anyone had been round recently canvassing or the like. Seems like they use this tactic quite often.
God knows how they knew there was keys in the door - just front door keys, not car keys anyway. I thought they may use a mirror or something to see through your...
My last one was burnt out which I think is a total waste of a car, but mine was worth over £10K, so I had no option than to claim on my insurance. It promptly doubled in cost all because of the theiving scum.....
I will look at getting a postbox basket, but I really wanted to know where to...
Hi James,
We have a security light which is broken! Going to get it fixed this weekend. I am also going to get a postbox cage thingy which will stop little hands getting in, even though it will be pointless because we will never leave the keys in the door now!
Daz,
They casually walked...
I think I will go down the conventional route with regards to security. Having my car stolen 3 1/2 months ago brought a reality check. All I can say is this:
Dont leave your keys somewhere obvious
Make sure you lock all ground floor doors and windows at night
Just be aware that it could...
Maybe, I dunno. Stupid if it was them, surely theyd realise Id tighten up security measures to keep it from happening again.
If ONLY Id got the registration number!
Sleep in the car
Chain an German Shepard to the front door
Hire a Bouncer
Get a shotgun
Encircle the drive with razor wire
Fit some WWII search lights
Hmm, that should do it?
Yeah, that should do it! Think I may try some other less expensive methods first though!
Thanks everyone, were going to do a few more things to stop them even being tempted to try.
Im just happy I woke up and scared them off! They would have been well angry when they couldnt find the keys......
I think they trawl areas like ours because they know people will have nice cars! I also think people are too trusting and just because our area is nice and quiet, they think it is also safe.
I live in a "village" which is on the west side of Northampton. Our house is near open country and fairly near junction 16 of the M1 which is probably where they escaped to. My last car ended up in Bradford!
I think we need to rethink our parking arrangements. We only have room for one car...
I dont understand why they do it - they must think the police are complete muppets!
We live in a nice area, just off the main road on our estate. They are doing it in full view of everyone that drives past, plus a load of houses. I was lucky that I was sleeping very lightly last night and...
Nope, the police didnt do anything. I handed it to them on a plate, but they werent interested!
Shame I didnt get the reg number of the car they drove off in - it was 4.15 and my eyes hadnt fully focused by the time they drove off!
Got woken up at 4.15am by someone trying to get to the front door keys through the letter box. As soon as they saw me look out of the window, they casually walked to a black Focus and drove off. Called the Police and they came quite quickly!
Luckily, after my last Cup got stolen, I have been...
Well dodgy, they get a guy to send you a cheque for more than the car is worth and tell you to forward on the remaining amount. They will say they owe them it of something. The cheque seems to clear and then doesnt. So you are out of pocket by a few £000s.
Heard about this before, do not do it!
1) Another one for the JP1!Simply incredible, awesome noise, speed, tyres, everything!
2) Porsche 944 Turbo - Continent crushing comfort (big leather Recaro sports seats), track day warrior, and holiday cruiser (nearly the whole roof can be removed).
3) Clio 172 Cup - Having thought I was...
