what does rms mean?? i got a mutant amp yesterday with 160watt rms is that good enough for a 1000w 12" jbl sub??

basically i had a 250 w amp connected to a jbl 12" 1000w! but when we went to south mimms the relays at the front started playin up, there was power in the dash when the key wasnt in and the hazard lights kept flashing, then just to make it all perfect my sub stopped working? now i cant get...

:cry: the other day it just stopped working so i took the sub out and checked the connections, but they were fine today i checked the inline fuse and it had blown so i replaced that but it still dont work, the fuse on the amp is ok theres just no output anyone got any ideas?????

does anyone know how to remove the plastic gear knob in a 2000 MTV 1.2 clio is it just a simple pull and twist or do i need to do it with a hacksaw ooh and the handbrake lever aswell???
