Thank you. I don't really know anything about cars but I'll have a look to see if there's any wires loose. It's a 2003 clio 1.4 so not sure if that classes as modern.

Hi. My first post. Also my first ever Clio, previously a Golf man. This light is permanently on for me, could it be because there's a big noisy exhaust fitted? (This was on the car when I purchased it) Thanks everyone.
