is this time good for a 1.2 16v. i done it on madera drive in brighton where it is completly flat! what times have u guys done?

is this time good for a 1.2 16v. i done it on madera drive in brighton where it is completly flat! what times have u guys done?

No 12 secs is total and complete crap
i got just under 12, for my 1.2. my mate was timing and it was pretty tricky seeing as my speedo hand bounces!!! lol
how much more could i get from my little lump? i dont wanna do too much as next year i wanna buy 172.

Dunno what official stats are for the 1.2 16V, but for mine it was 14.9 secs, and when i did mine it was completely standard engine wise, all i had done was change the wheels.
It is really hard to get an accurate timing with a stop watch, im seriously thinking of investing in one of those performance metres, only about £60
i might just do that. i was timing myself on my phone stopwatch. cos i fitted the viper its quicker in first and second than it was before.
have to get some nos!

Oh yeah complete standard. 1.3 8v 100bhp 0-60 9.5 115mph. See test Vs C2 CT in this months evo.
The rallye was a one off though. Normal 1.3 106 couldnt touch a 1.2 16v clio.
i must admit even though i only have a 1.2 16v it is pretty damm nippy on the motorway. has anyone else found this? i thought about removing my spare and ice to find more speed! no loud tunes though!
well they can always get quicker! just mod them! i can wait till im 21 then ill get a 172
12.2 in a 1.2?! cant see it doing that on the strip surely?
havent caned mine in standing starts really, but thought itd be slower to 60 than that.
honestly. ive fitted a viper kit and it works a treat. +10bhp so they say. and 6000rpm all the way and you will see!
at york freds quickest time to 1/8 mile was 11.508 @ 59.49mph, ended the 1/4 mile with 18.098 @ 74.22mph (not his quickest that was 18.069)
my quickest at york was 18.062 @ 73.49mph
fred was running a viper, powerlfow back box and 17s
i was running s-spec filter, k-tec cat back exhaust, std 15s
My missus has a 1.2 16v Dynamique, and I have to say its a hoot to drive. You have to absolutely cane it everwhere!! Very respectable performance for a 1.2 although my mates missus has a 1.2 Punto (not sure which model), and that is quicker off the mark than the Clio. We raced each other for about 10 miles ( girls cars [non-cliosport, of course!] need a good clean out every now and again) and we had grins like cheshire cats at the end of it. You have to keep them on the boil, becuase if you let off they take sooo long to get going!!!
