Personally id wait, but thats just because when you come to sell itll look newer. Most people would prefer a 54 plate than an 04 even if it was made on the same day so therefore resale would be slightly better?!
yeah wait for the 54 plate its not just ya resale value it the fact that if ya did get the 04 plate then when the 54 came out you would feel as if ya had a new car for only 19 days. it is nice to have a new car when the new plate comes out anyway.
However I said this in another conversation that wanting the latest plate is rather vain and not something that bothers me. I understand the concerns about resale value but look at it this way:
We here all like Clios. One of the reasons we like them is they dont seem to be driven by the Corsa crowd. We therefore have a duty to pass on our cars to "sound" individuals and not dumb asses who are likely to fit neons to them. Is it therefore right to sell your motor to someone who is a big enough dumbass to pay £500 more for a car that sat in a compound for 3 weeks before registration as opposed to being registered immediately?!??
If I was selling my car, and i had the choice of selling it to a outstanding, knowledgeable CS member, or some dumb person who though it just looked nice but would pay an extra £500 i would chose the dumb person .
Id wait for it, when I ordered my 172 last year I specified I wanted it to be the new reg even tho I ordered it in June, turned up in october in the end so not sure why I even bothered to tell them! lol
