1.2 2004 Brake Problems

I've had brake problems for a while
When I first got the car, after 2 weeks the discs warped, so I replaced them and still used the same pads.

That was ok for a while, but the last 3 or so weeks the braking is unbearable!

Sometime its fine, but other times slight braking from any speed above 30 is fecking awful
..
When I just rest my foot on the brake to slow down a little the whole car shakes as if ABS is constantly on (but it isn't) it sounds like the bloody wheels is about to fall off and the steering wheel shakes, lots of bouncing on the pedal aswel

It could just need pads / discs but like I say, it only does it sometimes and i've had this problem before and it wasn't as bad before.

Some people say it could be my ABS pump?
Some people say it could be my ABS sensor? (but there is no light on dash)
HES CALLED THE STIG! (had to do that)

Today I almost hit a '10 plate golf on the way to work.
A lorry pulled out of a blind summit junction so the traffic on the 60mph road all had to stop, however, mine failed and the braking speed was miserable..
Instead of hitting the golf, i kerbed it and hoped i wouldn't roll, which I didn't. So I'm happy but now I need new wheels coz there is a huge gash in it.

Any suggestions of what I should do or check?
Cheers in advance x

change the pads and see how it goes, also iirc it would take a fair few hundered miles to bed in especialy with new discs and old pads

Just been having a look at it and it seems that the left rack end joint is badly worn causing the left wheel to have lots of about 5mm of play.
However on the right side, the rack end joint is got about 3mm play from the centre of the rack..

Im getting a left rack end joint at 3pm and will fit it.. hopefully it will correct the right hand side too..

I'll let you know what happens..

Oh, btw.. -> The pads and discs are absolutely fine so its not them.
And, ABS works fine..

Replace track rod end on left, helped ALOT.

Brought new discs, will put them on tomorrow - Fingers crossed its not the rack!
