I've had brake problems for a while
When I first got the car, after 2 weeks the discs warped, so I replaced them and still used the same pads.
That was ok for a while, but the last 3 or so weeks the braking is unbearable!
Sometime its fine, but other times slight braking from any speed above 30 is fecking awful
..
When I just rest my foot on the brake to slow down a little the whole car shakes as if ABS is constantly on (but it isn't) it sounds like the bloody wheels is about to fall off and the steering wheel shakes, lots of bouncing on the pedal aswel
It could just need pads / discs but like I say, it only does it sometimes and i've had this problem before and it wasn't as bad before.
Some people say it could be my ABS pump?
Some people say it could be my ABS sensor? (but there is no light on dash)
HES CALLED THE STIG! (had to do that)
Today I almost hit a '10 plate golf on the way to work.
A lorry pulled out of a blind summit junction so the traffic on the 60mph road all had to stop, however, mine failed and the braking speed was miserable..
Instead of hitting the golf, i kerbed it and hoped i wouldn't roll, which I didn't. So I'm happy but now I need new wheels coz there is a huge gash in it.
Any suggestions of what I should do or check?
Cheers in advance x
