1.2 Dynamique 2002. High Clutch?

Hey All, Just purchased my 1.2 Clio Dynamique 2002 for my first car. Just a quick question for you Clio veterans, I heard the Clutches on Clio's tend to sit quite high, my certainly does that and I thought I'd ask if you can confirm that as normal.

Secondly I recently had it serviced and test driven, and having not driven it myself yet until I get my insurance tomorrow I've been told they struggled to get it into fifth gear and was told it was a sign of the clutch on it's way out. I don't envy paying for a new clutch right off the bat.

Any advice/guidance would be appreciated.

high bite is perfectly normal on the mk2 1.2 16v, id say the struggling to get into gear is probably more a worn lower engine mount than the clutch

I have the exact same model Clio, the clutch on mine is unbelievably high..... You learn to live with it in the end. Also at first I struggled to put mine in 5th, I kept putting it in 3rd instead. Not sure if that's because I have only been driving 3 weeks or its actually a feature of the car lol
