wich do you prefer? i like the mk1 rs clios i think they look alot meaner, where as the latest clio 1*2's look too girley i think, discuss........

I prefere the phase 2 looks but the phase 1 everything else.

On balance I'd take a phase 1 though if I had to chocie.

There is so little difference performance wise through the clio sport range so go for the looks mate!

Hu I love the old Mk1 dash bit its a different type of car and dash its more classic etc.

Phase 1 suspension is more fun setup plus its got a proper cable throttle body so more responsive plus tyres are smaller so nicer ride plus on a none driving as such viewpoint not as many stupid computers and faulty throttle bodies etc. Its a more raw as such Mk2. DOn't get me wrong the Mk1 is an altogether more fun car but the Mk2 has its distinct advantages.

The Mk2 has a safer body shell. Crashes are bound to happen realy and if I'm gonna crash forget handling hp feedback etc give me some strong body shell gives me confidence. Also its easier to get in and out of plus there younger and stiffer and no rust realy to worry about. They have more space inside as well.

Also the cars got an internal wheel well (I just prefere them like that) and looks more modern.

MK1 172.

Put it this way - I've bought a MK1 172 as a daily driver so I don't put anymore miles on my Trophy.

The MK1 is so good that I'm now thinking of selling the Trophy.
