right, ive had enough of the clio rolling around all over the place, want it stiffer and lower. probly go for a full kit as i want it for the handling aswell as looks, is it worth doing?
any good ones?
any to avoid?

probly get from motorsportworld

if i was you i'd defo go straight for coilovers. I had a kit on mine, and it handled better than standard but nowhere near as good as coilovers. I regretted putting the kit on in the first place after having the coilovers for a couple of days as they are that much better. Dont go to motorsportworld, try john at 2modified.com first.

cheers, will prob do that then

are the fk coilover any good?

ther like £450, can stretch to that now.

how much i looking at for fitting?

i have FK Highsport coilovers on my 1.2 16v.... ive never had any others but the difference between standard and these is just mad. grips the road like hell and hardly rolls anywhere.... just a very stiff ride lol

i have the apex 40mm kit i wish i went for coil overs now but thats just the way it is...

depends on how much you can afford

if you can afford it go for FK Coilovers.

if you cant or dont want to spend the money go for Apex -60mm thats what im using and many others on here.

going for FK Konigsports next tho (the adjustable ones, not the fixed damping highsports)

D

dick

to be honest, why do tey have to be adjusted?

not like im going to be taking my little clio on track and so make the suspension dead hard?

You don't need ajustable ones unless your spending a fortune on realy decinet stuff (over a grand ie Lada etc). The cheap ie FK and spax stuff has only one type of adjustment which is perfect in one position which is exactly the same as the fixed stuff is so why pay the extra you never use it.

exactly.

brag factor comes to mind.

itll only be for me "bezzing" around country roads.

im gonna do a time trials as well on the same stretch.

ie. 14"s on std
17" on std
17" on coilovers
14" on coilovers.

see how much better

edde, your such a good help to this place, and fred - he seems pretty good 2.

^^ true that

martin_89 how good are the apex, where did you buy from + fitting, and how much??

i wouldnt bother with konigsports to be honest, the fk highsports are set up just right imo, and are soft enough for everyday driving.

drop edde a few stella and you can get him to do anything ;)

nah i would never go 4 the konigsports and i belive daz has a set of highsports :)

brag factor comes to mind.
This is why the company who sells 60mm springs sell more than the 50mm springs doesn't matter what they realy lower the car buy noone checks Neither do they understand that £50 spring arn't desinged at the same cost Renault desing at so ther'll never be as good a package.
fitting, and how much??
Fitments easy 2 hours you can do it.
