1.2 Throttle Body

Hi,

Just spent 30 mins searching on here for an answer to no avail.
Anyway, I've heard the 1.2 throttle body is a b*****d to clean. I don't know much about cars, so is it worth me trying to have a go or should I just take it to a garage?

How much would it roughly cost to do at a garage? I don't want some nob ripping me off because I don't know nothing about engines.

iirc you have to take the inlet manifold off to get to it might be wrong tho

TBH I wouldn't have a clue how to take the inlet manifold off

How much am I looking at for a garage to do it?

dunno varies alot shouldnt be more than an hours work tho

id say between 60-100£

it's about an hour (give or take) just to remove the inlet manifold. while you've got it that far apart you should replace the whole set of rubber gaskets. A leaking rocker cover can cause a vacuum leak that leads to crap running. Quite a strange top end setup on the D4F
