13mm thread left with fitment of spacers, safe?

If I were to fit 7mm spacers to my 172, I would have 13mm of thread still protruding into the hub. Would those in the know say that this is acceptable?

iirc it must have 4 revolutions or more on the bolt, easiest way to put it,that should do the job though imo

each wheel bolt should hold a fair few tons of force, so x 4 i think should hold the wheel fine, but thats my uneducated guess!

I'd always get longer bolts IMo the safe is having 1 .5 turns of the bolt come out of the other side.

Cheers Edde. I'll give them a go with standard and see how they come out.

surely they just need to clear the run out of the thread through the hole, any protruding thread isn't causing and contact, therefore not making any difference?

i'd agree with edde, 13mm doesn't seem enough to me

there are some general rules for thread engagement and iirc it's 1.5 x Diameter that we work to at my place. But I'm not a structural engineer so don't remember exactly!! I'll check 2morrow.
