16" Tyres

Right, I have got a set of TSW Pace 16" comin tomorrow for my girlfriend's Clio but they have 195/45/16 tyres on.

Will these be OK as I believe the rcommended is 205/40/16, it's not lowered at all and the offset is correct.

172s have 195/45/16ss
182s have 205/45/16s

As standard.

how wide is the rim? if its 6.5 or 7"... 195's will be fine

hmmm... strange, I check alloywheels.com for tyre sizes and it does recommend different profiles for the 16v Clio's and smaller engine ones

172's are 195's standard
182's are 205's standard.

but people run 195's on 182's with no problems. always best to stick with standard sizes but it will be fine and not dangerous or anything.

well, the guy brought them up from Bristol on Saturday, all with nearly new Yokohama tyres just need to get me some spigot rings.... cost me £160 so far (£100 for the wheels and £60 for his petrol)

rings should hopefully be no more than £20 so I guess all in all £180 for a set of 16s with decent tyres is not too bad a price to pay
