16cm comps

right, £80.... want some 16cm components for front doors.... any thoughts?

do you prefer a powerful punchy "in ur face sound" or more smooth relaxed "easy on the ears" sound? this will effect speaker choice...when ur considing this bear in mind how long you spend in the car for any given period...dont want "in ur face" speakers if ur in their for long periods...WILL piss u off!

just want some nice soundin ones, more "smooth, relaxed" but still with more bass than treble.

rite ok probably guide u more towards a set of focal access series components...slightly more expensive than ur budget cuming in at 100 quid for 13cms...v.nice sound especially if ur gonna run them from a seperate amp...

would u be up for doing the required work to sqeeze 16cm in, ud be surprised at the difference these make!

yeah, it was 16cm ones i asked for!! i know im gonna have to carve the hole bigger and put a spacer to bring the speaker out a bit but thats ok. The focals sound like a good choice but a bit pricey. Anything similar but cheaper....? Alpine...?
