16's down to 15's

Car  Focus ST
What effects would swoppin 16's down to 15's for track days do to the car. Handling/Performance???

It would make your car accelerate quicker but you would loose top end speed.
Think handling would be similar.

If you have had a brake upgrade(calipers) then smaller wheels might not fit.

15's will go on fine with the normal brakes, I notice a difference in handling between 16's and 15's - don't get so much wheelspin with the larger radius.

Thanks!!

Just thinking about getting my car on the track after having a passenger ride on FCS. Heard someone mention that that was one of the things to consider.

Day - You mentioned wheelspin. Is that on acceleration or cornering??

i have 15's on my cup and imo it behaves better, love the turn in. Remember 172's originally run on 15's and even the cup in france comes with them......
